This Privacy Policy explains how the ChampsPath iOS application ("the App", "we", "our") handles information. ChampsPath is an unofficial, offline-first companion for fans following the 2026 FIFA World Cup. We respect your privacy and have designed the App to collect as little data as possible.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
ChampsPath does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Account credentials — the App does not require an account
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Analytics or usage telemetry
- Crash reports beyond Apple's standard opt-in mechanism
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device using standard iOS storage APIs (UserDefaults, file system). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it:
- Your personal notes, predictions, and event entries
- App preferences (notification settings, selected packs, theme)
- Downloaded content packs (match schedules, team data, images)
- Local notification schedules
Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
3. Content Pack Downloads
Optional content packs are downloaded from our content delivery network (CDN). These downloads are standard HTTP requests and do not include any personal identifiers. We do not maintain server-side logs that associate downloads with individual users.
4. Third-Party Links
The App contains links to third-party websites and services (for example, ESPN for live match data and team federation pages). When you tap such a link, you leave the App and the third party's privacy policy applies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content or practices of third-party sites.
5. Children's Privacy
ChampsPath is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
6. Data Sharing
Because we do not collect personal data, we have nothing to share. We do not sell, rent, or trade information to third parties.
7. Security
All data resides locally on your device and is protected by the iOS security model. We recommend keeping your device passcode enabled and your iOS version up to date.
8. Your Rights
You can delete all data stored by the App at any time by uninstalling the App from your device. Because no personal data is sent to us, there is no account or server-side record to request deletion of.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
